AutomationStar 2024: A Thrilling Experience for Gravity

Last month, the Smartesting team had the pleasure of attending the AutomationStar conference in the beautiful city of Vienna. This annual event is usually a great occasion to meet professionals in the software testing and automation world, and this year was no exception. For us, it was an incredibly exciting experience, as we had the opportunity to showcase our latest innovation, Gravity.

The event served as the perfect platform to introduce Gravity to a vibrant and curious audience. Our team worked hard leading up to the event to prepare for the launch. We were thrilled to see how well-received the concept was. From the moment the doors opened, our booth attracted a steady stream of visitors, eager to learn more about how Gravity could revolutionize their approach to test prioritization and automation.

Gravity’s unique value proposition, centered on AI and usage insights-driven test design and automation, generated a lot of buzz. Attendees were especially intrigued by how Gravity can monitor real-world user behaviors and usage patterns in live production and test environments to generate quality analytics, identify test coverage gaps, and assist in prioritizing and generating test cases. The interest in our booth showed just how much the industry is looking for next-generation tools that simplify the complexities of testing in modern agile environments.

A highlight of the conference was the opportunity to connect and network with professionals and thought leaders from across Europe. Conversations ranged from discussions on the latest trends in automation to specific challenges teams face in their day-to-day operations. We were delighted to hear firsthand how professionals saw potential applications for Gravity in their work environments. Several testers and managers shared how integrating Gravity into their pipelines could help overcome key testing bottlenecks.

Many of the attendees were impressed by Gravity’s ability to integrate seamlessly with their web application and execution toolchain. And that, for either manual or automated execution. This sparked some insightful conversations about the future of continuous testing and DevOps practices. This feedback was invaluable and gave us excellent ideas on how to further enhance Gravity in the coming months.

Aside from showcasing our product, AutomationStar 2024 featured an impressive lineup of speakers and sessions. We took part in many insightful talks that provided new perspectives on the evolving landscape of test automation, from AI in testing to the role of automation in DevOps. These discussions helped validate our approach with Gravity, as we could see that the market is moving towards smarter, more pragmatic testing solutions—precisely the area where Gravity excels.
